What to Expect
First Visit:
On your first visit you should plan to spend approximately an hour with the doctor after you have finished your paperwork.
FORMS
You will be asked to fill out a case history form. If you need help with this, feel free to ask.
CONSULTATION
You will meet with the doctor. The doctor will listen to your health concerns and discuss whether you may benefit from Chiropractic care.
EXAMINATION
The examination includes neurological and orthopedic testing, a postural analysis, Surface Electromyography (SEMG), Thermography and Heart Rate Variability (HRV).
X-RAYS
Depending on the results of your examination, you may be sent for x-rays of certain areas of your spine.
Second Visit:
On your second visit you should plan to spend approximately 30 minutes with the doctor.
REPORT
The information gathered at your first visit will be analyzed and explained in combination with any x-rays you might have had taken. At your report we will explain
- Whether we feel we can help you.
- What are our findings.
- What care will be necessary in your case.
ADJUSTMENT
If accepted as a patient, care will begin on your second visit.

REGULAR VISITS
After the time investment of your first and second visit, some people are concerned that every visit will be equal in length.
They are not. A typical office visit usually requires 5 minutes with the doctor to receive an adjustment. But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit reduces its value. With the groundwork laid, and the knowledge of what needs to be done, we can quickly assess the state of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way.
Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and you can lose momentum necessary to make the needed changes.
We recognize that your time is valuable. We do everything possible to run on time and minimize the interruption to your busy life!

PROGRESS ASSESSMENTS
Periodically we will do a progress evaluation to monitor your response to care and make changes to your
individualized care plan as necessary.

TECHNIQUES
Dr. Cathy Falk uses safe, specific, effective Chiropractic techniques to improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The primary goal is to detect and remove nervous system interference (known as a subluxation) so your body will receive proper messages from the brain, and will function optimally. This in turn will optimize your body’s healing potential and health.
The technique used on each patient varies based on age, size, chiropractic findings, patient needs, as well as the doctor’s experience and expertise.
Impulse Adjusting System: This is a system of adjusting the spine using an instrument with different settings. The instrument has been researched extensively and has found to provide more comfort to the patient with adjustments compared to manual adjustments. Many patients prefer this type of adjusting because there is no popping sound when the patient is adjusted.
Chiropractic Biophysics: This is a technique that evaluates the body posture and corrects for global abnormalities. It is very effective for what is commonly called Text Neck or Tech Neck.
